Greetings, friends! I do hope all of you had a wonderful 4th of July! I did. I didn’t do much, but I did enough to make me feel patriotic and spirited!
The first thing on my schedule was to attend my grandmother’s annual neighborhood picnic. I didn’t stay very long, as I had to go back home and pick my mom up so we could go to the Town of Boone’s parade. The parade is always the highlight of my year, even though I’m 21, I still love to go to the parade and try to bum candy from the participants.
Here is what a normal Boone 4th of July parade looks like:

Yes, basically it’s a bunch of different cars and people walking. That’s why I love it, it’s a small town parade at it’s finest!
After the parade, we headed down the mountain to Morganton, NC to go to the Red, White, and Bluegrass Festival. Here are a few pics from that night:

After Dan Tyminski played, it was time for the fireworks!! It was probably one of the best diplays I’ve ever seen. Sadly, I didn’t get any pictures because I still haven’t figured out how to take pictures of fireworks with my camera. I’m learning.
In the meantime, I hope you had a glorious 4th!!
We had a fabulous fourth – a little farmer’s marker, a little ashe county walmart, a little ingles, a little cookout, a little sparklers…a little bed – thanks for asking!
